Boys dress shirt? Really?

Somehow I ended up with a long sleeve boys dress shirt size 8. No idea where it came from. I have four little girls. Anyway I found myself with this little dress shirt and was feeling creative. So I cut off the sleeves and made this little 18 inch doll dress from them. I just made sure it was long enough then sliced it open down the length of the sleeve. I did this to both sides, then I sewed them together. I then took some ribbon and sewed it to the front and back of the "dress" leaving the button more to one side. Then I hemmed up the bottom. I just tied the ribbon at the shoulders to have it stay on. I should have put a white shirt under it, but didn't so you'll just have to use your imagination...

The rest of the shirt I made into a baby dress. A real one! It was hard to have my model hold still... my 9 year old took the picture for me!

I made matching fabric shoes, but I didn't like them.

I had the buttons going down the back.

I made a matching corker hairbow. The best part is this is some ribbon that was wrapped around some towels my MIL got for us for Christmas! The gift that keeps on giving eh? I will include instructions in another post if you want some for the dress or the bows. Takes less than an hour to make the dress and bow. Let me know in the comments if you do!
